Mark Kelson
Mark Kelson, vocalist and guitarist of The Eternal, is a driving force behind the band's distinctive sound, which seamlessly blends dark, melancholic, and emotive metal with elements of Doom and Progressive genres. With a career spanning over two decades, Mark has been a pivotal figure in shaping the band's evolution and international acclaim.
Originally hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Mark co-founded The Eternal in early 2003, setting the stage for a journey marked by six studio albums and extensive touring across the globe. Alongside longtime collaborator Richie Poate, Mark has steered The Eternal through tours with renowned acts such as Amorphis, Anathema, Katatonia, and Opeth.
In a testament to their global reach, The Eternal has solidified its international presence with a long-term deal with German label Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM), known for their roster of outstanding artists. 'Skinwalker' is slated for release through RPM in late June 2024, marking a new chapter in The Eternal's storied history.
As well as his role in The Eternal, Mark also runs Melbourne based music studio Lucidity Sound where he works with local and international acts, Tonerider pickups is a regular part of production in the studio and are featured on all albums Mark works on.
