Hot 90

Excellent P90 bridge pickup. It’s punchy and bright as you’d expect with a P90, but it’s also quite powerful. Extremely clear even when using overdrive or distortion. Put in a Grote LP copy which I then re-wires with better electronics and vintage push-back cloth wire. Sounds amazing . I have many, many guitars with 7 that have different P90 pickup configurations. This bridge pup is the best P90 I’ve heard yet- I mainly have been using Guitar Madness and Wilkinson P90’s which I really like, but decided to try this bridge pup out. Really glad I did. I’ll now be getting the neck pup to pair with the bridge pup. Very simple install. Well packaged with a wiring diagram/color code guide.

It was my first time with a P90 and I have to admit that it was truly amazing! I never had such a good experience when installing a new pickup! I always had some disappointments or heard not so much difference. The Tonerider Hot P90 is a wonderful pickup, it delivers an excellent tone in every situation. With a clean sound, it pushes the amp close to the break-up point and it is perfect for some classic American sounds like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eagles, or R&B. It is never harsh, even with the tone knob set to 10 and has a great dynamic. With a crunchy sound, it is perfect for a lot of things, from blues to grunge, or something more sophisticated adding some reverb and modulation. With a distorted sound, it becomes very angry, pinch harmonics everywhere, never muddy, a wall of sound when playing power chord, keeping clarity in the high strings! This is a superb pickup at half the price of the competitors.

Excellent P90s. All that classic grunt on the low end but don't sound wooly or muffled. The mid presence is what you would expect and they take overdrive really well. I put them in a thinline tele.

Like all tonerider pickups I've bought these Hot p90’s are superb. Full and rich sounding with a beefy twang in the bass. Just what I was after
