In no way inferior to boutique pickups

I am a passionate Fender Player and own more than ten guitars of that brand, standard and custom shop models as well. I retrofitted most of my Fenders with expensive, hand wound boutique pickups and now tried the Toneriders for my inexpensive daily rehearsal guitar, a Squier Paranormal Nashville Stratocaster. The sound of Tonerider Nashville 60s pickups is amazing. Full, but still Tele twangy with crisp highs, full lows and well defined mids. No muddy and dull sound when using the neck pickup anymore. Great boutique sound for a fraction of the boutique price. Highly recommended as I couldn’t be happier with em.

Fantastic upgrade for Squier Paranormal Nashville Strat

I've been modding my Squier Paranormal Nashville Strat a little bit here and there and I actually love the neck I have on it now and the way it plays and the tonal range, but the pickups have always left something to be desired. Mine were overly ice picky and muddy with any distortion. The bridge pickup was the main offender. These Tonerider 60s pickups are perfect. The bridge pickup has become my favorite, excellent for distortion, lots of clarity when playing clean, nice bright high end twang but not ice picky. Middle pickup and neck pickup sound excellent as well. Nice thick low end when you want it but not muddy at all. Smooth high end. Seriously these are worth every penny for the price. Shipping to the US was very quick with no issues. If you are modding a Paranormal strat keep in mind the lead wires on the neck and middle pickup isn't long enough to reach the switch (at least in the ones I got). I had to splice a little extra length on (or you could flip the control plate the other direction). Other than that this was a painless upgrade where I unsoldered the old and put the new in the exact same spots. Took 20 minutes and made massive difference. Highly recommend!

Great upgrade for my Squier Paranormal Nashville Strat

I replaced the pickups in my squier paranormal nashville strat with these and I am super impressed. The stock pickups were a little muddy and dark but these are more stratty, clear, and brighter (but not bright). It really helps the in between neck and middle pickup get more of the little wing and lenny sounds. Impressed with bridge and middle as well nut the neck pickup is worth the cost alone. Highly recommend!

Not just the best value pickups, but some of the best pickups, period.

I've been singing the praises of Tonerider to anyone who will listen for a long time now, and have tried a good portion of their line-up. Never had a bad experience. These Nashville telecaster pickups are exactly what you could hope for.

The middle pickup is that rare middle position that's totally useable on its own, and is a great balance between the twang of the bridge pickup and the subtly compressed grunt of the neck. Positions 2 and 4 on this are quite strat-adjacent but still sound like a tele, and if you're using a 7-way mod to get the neck and bridge together like a traditional tele, they have a great classic telecaster drive to them.

So happy with this set that I've ordered another set to put in a new build, this time with a humbucker neck. Tonerider's customer support is amazing and they're always so quick and so accommodating that I'm never going back to any of the more expensive boutique pickup manufacturers.

If you're on the fence about trying these, there are much more expensive mistakes you could make, and these won't disappoint!

I've had these for a while in Telecaster and pair it with a 5-way 10-position Free Way switch. The range of sounds and tones is amazing. One minute you have a blazing telecaster then the next moving to position 2 or 4 you have that Strat sound. The added advantage of the Free Way switch is by flicking up you now get humbuckers. The Nashville tonerider pickups are more than up for it. I must admit I have a Strat but these pickups in the telecaster out strat the strat in my humble opinion This is now the most versatile guitar I own and sounds fecking amazing!!! Do yourself a favour and move to the dark side!!!!
