I bought a set of these to upgrade my SSS Squier Strat into an HSS configuration. They are great. The Bridge is bitey as stated. The neck is nice and warm. The pickups respond to the amount of touch/attack well. I have a push pull pot for the humbucker split. I have only just wired them and tested them, adjusting the height. I haven't even experimented with effects etc on my Katana amp and they are great straight out of the box on my clean channel. They are packaged perfectly, with foam packing and all the necessary bits. sturdily boxed. They arrived quickly and with wiring instructions. After sales service is also very good. No question is too difficult. Can't recommend them enough!
I bought the HSS AL II for a new project but then changed it into an SSS set of Vintage AL II for a replacement in a Sire S7. This was a good move😎
I never did like the pickups in my Strat, so I purchased the Alnico 2 HSS set. I was blown away. They sound so clean, but they can really rock when pushed. I haven’t had a bad pickup from ToneRider yet.
The sss set we purchased from you sounds great (A2 blues). Neck middle #4 position.
Same position on HSS set does not sound very close. I was under the impression that the single coil PUP's are supposed to be the same for both sets but they sound completely different. I am considering changing out the HSS for SSS safari A3 magnets, I just installed a set of those Safari's in another strat I own and like them the best, FYI.
Ho acquistato questo set di pickup per installarli su una Stratocaster Messicana che aveva dei pickup un po' anonimi secondo il mio gusto. Con questi pickup ho ottenuto un suono equilibrato, caldo, ottimo per il blues e il Classic Rock. L' Humbucker al ponte di da quella spinta giusta senza esagerare.
