The Birmingham HSS Set

I needed an HSS set and I searched the internet to try something different from classic brands that I used in the past. I noticed the tonerider pickups and to be honest I never heard the brand before. I saw the reviews and I just ordered the set. Best choise I made! The set is fantastic, 1000% recommended! Better than other pickups with twice the price!

First, I would like to thank Glenn and the others who answered my questions and provided good explanations for the HSS Birmingham set I just had installed on my Sire Larry Carlton S3. It sounds brighter, fuller, and is more enjoyable to play. I greatly appreciate the affable support I got, including phone calls and prompt call backs.
My S3 had decent ceramic pickups, but the output was too high and the sound differentiation between pickup positions was neglible. How that has now changed!
The neck and bridge Classic Blues single coils are bright and full (the middle is wonderfully brighter and perfectly balanced with the neck) and the 4th strat position is tasty and very (stratty) as I was hoping. The humbucker sounds great; very similar to my friend's Pearly Gates on his old '96 American Strat, but with a bit more output that is well balanced with the others. My guitar sounds as I hoped it would, and I could not be happier as I try to find more time to play!

Great sound and you get the chime sound when your in position 2 and 4. Excellent value for money!!

I tried a Birmingham bridge humbucker a while ago and sold the guitar shortly after installing it. I got a really cheep HSS strat style guitar for gigging and it sounded alright but not the best. I installed the HSS hot set from tonerider which has the Birmingham humbucker and the guitar now rocks!!! The Birmingham just cuts through the mix so well and is clear and articulate even when using heavier sounds. I’m in a rock covers band and this set up is perfect.

I put the set into my squire affinity strat and it sounds absolutely amazing. Definitely will be buying from you guys again
